Since 2009, LGMA runs the major part of the TV Programs Competition and part of the New Media Competition. In addition, this year, LGMA manages and moderates a new concept tentatively called the Panel/Awards Session. This concept was used with success for specific competitions, the Best Pilots and the Green Awards.

 If you would like to enter the competition LGMA will refer you to Tiffany Rushton the Director of the Awards. 

The Banff World Media Festival is held in Banff, Alberta in the beautiful Canadian Rockies early to mid June. In 2012, the dates are June 10 to June 13.

In 2009, Achilles Media, the Canadian Media event company managing the Banff World Media Festival, asked LGMA to create and manage the TV competition for this January New York gathering. After testing the concept in 2010 with 5 classic categories, LGMA introduced new categories in 2011 to better reflect the way general audiences are exposed to History and Current Affairs. These new creations, Historical Drama and Interactive programs, were immediately a success.



In 2012, History Makers takes place in the Times Square Millennium Broadway Hotel on January 25 to 27.

Georges Leclere, CEO of LGMA Inc., was appointed Chairman of the Board of the Russian Media Group War & Peace in 2011. At the same time, LGMA became adviser of the Media Group War & Peace for all matters relevant to the International activities of the Group.



For over 10 years, Georges Leclere has helped increase international visibility for two major components of the Media Group, Corona Films Productions and War & Peace Channel. Vitaly Fedko, the CEO of the War and Peace Media Group can be reached through LGMA.

In 2007, Gillian Rose, the President of the Rosemary Pencil Foundation asked Georges Leclere to become treasurer of the Foundation and advise her on international development and fundraising.

The goal of the Rosemary Pencil Foundation is to cover all Education costs, tuition, uniforms, supplies, for selected under-privilege and Aids-orphan high school students, mostly young girls, living in poor regions of Malawi and, starting in 2011, in Zimbabwe, in the southern part of Africa.


The Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(C)3 organization.

After having twice been a part of the Seoul Drama Awards Final Jury in 2007 and 2010 and an Award Presenter in 2010, LGMA was appointed Advisor of the Seoul Drama Awards competition in 2011. 

Miss Lee, the Secretary General of SDA and of the Korean Broadcasters Association and Olivia Na, the chief programmer of the competition and Awards as well as chief of the International Relations can be reached through LGMA.

In 2009, LGMA was appointed Senior International Consultant for the Sichuan Television Festival for matters relevant to its international outreach.



Three times, LGMA was represented in the SCTVF Final Jury (in 2009-2011) acquiring a thorough knowledge of the methodology and the organization of the Final Awards and the Awards ceremonies both for the Festival itself and for the Qinghai Mountains Documentary Festival, its partner.

FORMAT DAY AT THE  SICHUAN TELEVISON FESTIVAL, CHINA

In 2011, the Sichuan TV Festival presented its inaugural Format Day co-organized with LGMA.  Format Day 2011 marked the second format event LGMA has organized in China after IFF China in Beijing in November, 2010.

Format Day brought together top International Formats producers and distributors to collaborate with Chinese Regional TV station managers and Chinese Formats Producers interested in acquiring and producing Western formats in China.

Format Day took place in Chengdu, Sichuan on November 11th and 12th, 2011 and was managed by Chen Lan for Sichuan TV and Georges Leclere for LGMA.

In 2011, LGMA was called by this United Nations-affiliated organization to executive produce its Millennium Development Goals Awards Ceremony, taking place on September 19 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York. The 2011 theme of the event is Digital Health for Digital Development.



Launched in February 2010 during the sixteenth session of the United Nation General Assembly High Level Committee on South-South Cooperation (SSC), South-South News (SSN) has the vision in 2011 to advance the implementation of the health-related Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and other priority health areas through the sharing of best practices in the areas of South-South and Triangular Cooperation.

Running, among others, the International Emmy Awards every year, the Academy is a television and new media trade association having the 501 (C) 6 status in the State of New York, NY, USA.

LGMA CEO Georges Leclere is a Fellow of the Academy and has the capacity of sponsoring qualified applications to Board membership.
